The Past Players Association plays an important role in supporting the club, its members and players.
On Friday 20th March 2015, the club held a benefit dinner for Somerset Cricketer Peter Trego with rugby legend Nigel Redman also featuring. The 120 strong audience enjoyed a 3 course meal, speeches and an Auction of items which raised money for Trego, the Rugby Club and the Cricket Club. This event was another success and the Past Players Committee express their sincere thanks for all the support received and donations pledged.
2013 saw a superb Lions Legends Night held as the main fundraising event. The evening saw guest speakers Willie John McBride and Jon Bentley attract a crowd of over 350 guests who enjoyed a night of cheese and wine, with entertainment by popular Irish comedian Black Jack Davy. The success of the evening meant that over £7,000 was raised and will be reinvested over the next 12 months into youth cricket and youth rugby right here in West Somerset.
