Minehead came back strongly and after some excellent forward work from Bradley Furse, Connor Thrush and Bailey McAteer, the backs were released, and with some quick hands from Harry Chinn, Fred Bushell was able to score between the posts with a powerful run,  after a successful conversion from Bradley Furse, Minehead took a 7 _ 5 lead. Minehead again were strong in the contact and Bradley Furse, after a couple of good hand offs broke clear and scored a try in the corner, he was unsuccessful with his conversion attempt but Minehead had a 12 _ 5 lead. In the last couple of minutes of the first half, Taunton piled on the pressure and scored  and again were unsuccessful with the conversion, giving Minehead 12 _ 10 half time lead. In the second half Minehead were unable to break Taunton down, and try as they might, it was Taunton who ran in three tries with one conversion success, giving a final score of 12_27 to Taunton. The final score suggests a one sided affair, but it was a very even match and the Lads can be proud of the the part they played in a very entertaining game of rugby.
