Barbarians u15s George Giles and Robin Fieldhouse feature in the B team squad, with Will Monroe having another run out with the A team squad. Games kick off at Martock RFC at 1200 for the Bs and 230 for the As. 19/02/2010 - U15s Selected for Somerset Just to let everyone know, two players from our under 15s team,Robin Fieldhouse and Will Monroe, have been chosen to play in the starting xv for Somerset A away to Cornwall on Sunday 21st February.I hope all at the club will join me in congratulating them and wishing them the best of luck. 15/12/2009 - U15s Selected for Somerset! Three M.B.R.F.C. u15 players have been selected this week for the Somerset County Squad. Fly-half Will Monro, centre George Giles, and centre Robin Fieldhouse. 22/07/2009 - 2009/2010 Registration forms online! The new season is fast approaching and even the 1st XV have made it from the beach to the pitch. We have put the 2009/2010 Registration forms available to download off this site, so now there’s no excuse to get you subscriptions in nice and early for this coming season. Please remember we would like to encourage the partners of all players to become social members (at least) anyone who uses the facilities at the club is supposed to be a member of one type or another. For the Junior/Mini registration day to run as smoothly as possible it would be great to come ready with your filled in forms. 17/07/2009 - Pre Season Training Training has now started. Every Tuesday and Thursday for senior players to include colts. Players should be changed and on the pitch ready for 6.30pm. The Stags have also started training on Wednesday nights at the same time of 6.30pm. 13/05/2009 - Weekend At Woolacombe A huge thanks to Simon Avison and Chris Thorne for organising such a successful weekend and to Tom Bishop for sponsoring the event. Over 20 senior players attended the weekend training session!!! 03/05/2009 - Dave "Big Worm" Swann Voted 1st Team Player Of The Year The senior presentation evening held on Friday 2nd May saw David Swann pick up the silverware for both the Players Player Of The Year Award, and 1st Team Player Of The Year. Congratulations to Swanny!!!!! 03/05/2009 - Joint Award For 2nd Team Player Of The Year Congratulations to both Ben White and Freddie Hayes who were jointly voted as the second team player of the year. Both players showed outstanding commitment throughout the season and contributed hugely to the second teams successful season finishing 3rd in the Somerset 2 South League 03/05/2009 - Mike Willis Voted 3rd Team Player Of The Year Congratulations to Mike Willis who was voted 3rd team player of the year. Mike is another player who has shown great commitment throughout the season both on and off the pitch with the seniors and mini's. Well deserved!! 03/05/2009 - Colts Player Of The Year Congratulations to Dan Mollett who was voted both players player of the year and player of the year by the team and the colts coaching staff. Dan, who is a up and coming prop has also featured in the first and second teams this season and made a good impression.Here's to next season!! 03/05/2009 - Presentation Evening Congratulations must also be paid to other award winners of the club. Phil & Tina Farmer were awared the Martin Letchford Trophy for their continued support they have given to the club. A huge number of players and members voted in their favour and deservidly so. 3rd team player Alex Gower was presented with the "Man Of Steel" award for showing outstanding commitment to training through the weeks of the season come rain or shine. Our longstanding treasurer Keith "Wiggy" Wigglesworth was presented with Clubman Of The Year Award. An award made to someone who works hard throughout the year behind the scenes, Wiggy was the perfect candidate.
